Meal PREP
Since 2015, I have been consistently meal-prepping weekly for the both of us. I spend 2-3 hours every Sunday morning cooking enough food for both lunches and dinners for the week. Meal-prepping and cooking our own meals have helped us keep our food expenses low. We spend an average of $200/month on groceries and less than $100/month eating out. Apart from saving money, we are also eating healthier by cooking our own meals as we know exactly what ingredients are used. Meal planning also helps to avoid decision fatigue, because I really do not enjoy thinking about what to eat for lunch every day. My co-workers can certainly vouch for that.
