July 4th Weekend - 2016

Thought I would have more free time after finishing my exams but apparently not. All my free time was spent on my no-salary 2nd job as a gardener/zoodler/canner. Seriously, wth did we get ourselves into?? I could have been chilling at home after work editing my 3-years worth of GoPro videos backlog! Anyway, that explains why I'm still trying to catch-up on my blog updates, so I'll keep this short. Just a quick photo update on our July 4th weekend.  

July 2 (Sat): Day Out at Lake Guntersville

Visited Maureen's family campground and went out on the parent's boat. 

Upped my ‪jumpshot‬ difficulty with one from a floating tube...haha!!

And to keep it real...here are the behind the scenes of some failed attempts...lol!!

Memorial Day Weekend on the Boat - 2015

It's Memorial Day weekend but instead of having just a long weekend off, we're having a long week off. =) Started our vacation with a family boat trip on Tennessee River yesterday. Still a month away from summer but it's already hot enough to be out on the water and enjoy the sun. The plan was to see the hot air balloon flight at Point Mallard Park but unfortunately, it was too windy for the hot air balloons to take off. Anyway, it was still a good chillaxing afternoon on the boat, exactly what we needed before starting our 'adventure'. 

March 23 (Sat): Thanks to the parents for taking us out on their nice boat! =)

Took slightly more than an hour on a boat from Ditto Landing to Point Mallard.

Anchored our boats, chilled, sunbathe, fished and had picnic on the boat. Lots of boats and people partying around too!

Camping at lake guntersville - 2012

25 May 2012 (Fri): Camping at Lake Guntersville

Drove to Honeycomb Camb Ground at Lake Guntersville (about 50 minutes from Daniel's house) after he got off work on Friday to meet up with Donna and Donny.

This is how they spend their long weekend and camp in America. Typically you'll see lotsa RVs (recreational vehicle), tents, cooking equipments, boats, dogs, bicycles, food, etc. Here in Malaysia, people spend the weekends in shopping malls. =.=

We arrived in the evening so only managed to go for a quick ride on Donna's boat before the sun sets. Nice boat!!

Saw some really cool RVs...cost as much as a house! Had group dinner with Donna & Donny's friends.

26 May 2012 (Sat): Tubing at Lake Guntersville

Spent the night in this RV.

Beautiful day to be out on the lake. =)
